Our Ash Vacuums are manufactured using fire-resistant components, giving home owners confidence that vacuuming up ash from wood stoves, grilles, barbecues, fireplaces, pellet stoves and bio-fuel stoves is a safe, efficient process.
We offer 2 choices in ash vacs. The Cougar Ash Vac and Cheetah II Ash Vac are similar in design, but the Cougar has a quieter motor. Our vacuums have a 20-year history of design improvements, making them the best-selling ash vacuums in the United States.

The dual filter system in the Cheetah II Ash Vac is specifically designed to capture the fine ash particles left as residue in your fireplace, wood stove or barbecue. It is possible to clean these filters without opening the canister, which keeps the ash contained and NOT floating around your house creating a mess and smoky odor.
The Cougar Ash Vac is similar in design to the Cheetah II Ash Vacuum, but is manufactured with extra baffles on the motor, resulting in a quieter motor operation. Both models can hold up to three gallons of ash in their fire-proof steel canisters, and several handy accessories are also available. Please visit our online store for more information.
Everyone knows that cleaning ash from fireplaces, wood-burning stoves or barbecues is a major headache. It might be tempting to use your regular vacuum cleaner to do the job, but that would be a big mistake. Regular vacuums will clog up quickly with fine ash, and may catch fire if they come in contact with burning embers.
Vacuums specifically designed for ash cleanup, such as the Cougar or Cheetah models featured on this site, have fire-resistant components, including the hose, canister and filter. They are built to handle the type of fine ash that comes from fireplaces and stoves.
